First, please read the syllabus (the front page of this course web site) as soon as possible.
Second, do the following four problems from the textbook. Please write up your solutions in order, for submission on paper. You might want to figure them out on scratch paper before writing your final version. As the course schedule indicates, they are due at the start of class on Day 03 (Friday). But attempt them as soon as you can, so that you can talk to me before the due date if you need help. :)
Finally, in just a couple of days I start asking you to complete small programming assignments in Python. So, if you are unfamiliar (or out of practice) with that language, then start learning it, using either the resources on this course web site or other resources that you find.
